Who are you speaking as?
For a parent, partner, sibling or friend. The studio quiets down. Your role changes every question that follows.
For a parent
Speaking about your mother or father — an adult child speaking about their parent.
For a partner
Speaking about your husband or wife — a spouse or long-term partner.
For a sibling
Speaking about your brother or sister — a sibling, with a shared childhood to draw on.
For a friend
Speaking about your friend — a close friend, not family.
For a grandparent
Speaking about your grandmother or grandfather — a grandchild, often speaking for several cousins at once.
What you'll be asked
- 01Who were they, to the people who knew them best?
- 02Is there something physical you remember about them — their hands, their voice, the way they moved?
- 03Describe an ordinary day with them.
- 04Was there something they always said?
- 05What did they teach you without meaning to?
- 06What will you miss most?
- 07What would you want someone who never met them to understand?
